Control bulb of pressure of oil

Control bulb of level of brake liquid

Pressure of oil in the Audi A4 engine is supervised by the sensor of pressure of oil in a combination to the electronic logic unit in the combined device. In this regard the signal already moves not on the basis of only pressure of oil, and in a combination to data on temperature of cooling liquid and number of turns of the engine. Criteria for inclusion of an alarm bulb:

  • The engine does not work, the sensor of pressure of oil is closed.
  • The temperature of cooling liquid is higher than 60 °C, the number of turns of the engine exceeds 1500 rpm and the sensor of pressure of oil is open.
  • The temperature of cooling liquid is lower than 60 °C, the number of turns is higher 300 rpm and the sensor of pressure of oil is open.
  • At turns of the engine above 5000 rpm the activated signal about pressure of oil is not switched off (irrespective of position of the switch of pressure of oil).
  • If at operation of the engine on turns above 1500/mines the sensor of pressure of oil remains open more than 0,5 with, this information remains in the computer. If this condition arises three times in a row, the warning signal becomes more active and is not switched off, even if the number of turns falls. From the following inclusion of ignition counting is made a fresh start.

Switch of pressure of oil

In four - and six-cylinder engines different sensors of pressure of the oil which isolated details for difference have different color are established:

  • Black color at the switch of pressure of oil from 1,4 bar in four-cylinder engines.
  • White color at the switch of pressure of oil from 1,8 bar in six-cylinder engines.

Troubleshooting

  • If the alarm bulb (sometimes with a sound signal) burns at the working engine, you should stop at once!
  • At once switch off the engine, check oil level. If everything is all right:
  • Tow off the car to prevent more serious damages because of a lack of greasing.
  • As the following measure check pressure of oil.
  • If pressure of oil as it should be, you can change the sensor of pressure of oil (in a workshop).
  • If, despite it, the lamp does not die away, the reason in the device.

Replacement of the sensor of pressure of oil

Wires to the sensor of pressure of oil and to the sensor of temperature of oil in the six-cylinder engine are connected in this shtekerny socket (shooter) behind on the left head of the block of cylinders.


At the left near a belt pulley of the crankshaft in the six-cylinder engine there is a sensor (1) indicator of temperature of oil and the sensor of pressure of oil (2).


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Buy the necessary sensor of pressure of oil with black or white isolation and to it a new sealing ring.
  2. Tighten the sensor of pressure of oil only on 25 Nanometers.
