Violations in work and self-diagnostics

The MPI/MPFI control unit can distinguish about 30 defects in electric knots of system of ignition/injection and keep in a computer memory. Distinction between constant defects and sporadic (sometimes) arising failures in work thus becomes. Information on sporadic arising defects is erased after 50 starts of the engine if they did not arise repeatedly.
In a workshop the computer with information on malfunctions is interrogated by means of the device for V.A.G 1551 reading (see head Regular servicing). The fan has no possibility for such poll therefore at expected defect in system of ignition/injection it is necessary to charge for a workshop to consider information on malfunctions in a memory.

In addition you can use the section Help at malfunctions at the end of head in whom the set of the possible defects revealed by means of self-diagnostics is given.

For form's sake after repair in a workshop it is necessary to erase information on malfunctions by means of the device for reading.
